Is the accommodation in a private area?
Yes – your stay is completely private.
Each accommodation is set within its own dedicated space, allowing you to relax and unwind without interruption. Whether you’re enjoying your hot tub, the hidden sauna, or simply the peaceful surroundings, you’ll have your space all to yourself.
Is the hot tub private and ready on arrival?
Yes – your hot tub is private and ready to use as soon as you arrive.
We make sure it’s fully heated in advance, so you can step straight in and start relaxing from the moment you get here.
Do you have a sauna?
Yes – we offer a unique hidden sauna experience.
Located in a private, secluded area, the sauna can be booked free of charge during your stay. It includes a plunge bucket and a private cool-down area with relaxing music, creating the perfect space to unwind.
Can we see the birds during our stay?
Yes – and it’s one of the most unique parts of staying here.
At Cumberland Bird of Prey Centre, you’ll be surrounded by a variety of birds of prey.
While your accommodation remains private, you may see and hear the birds throughout your stay—and even catch glimpses of our rare bateleur eagles, making your experience truly unforgettable.
Is it suitable for couples?
Absolutely – it’s perfect for couples.
With private hot tubs, a hidden sauna, and a peaceful countryside setting, our accommodation is ideal for romantic getaways and relaxing breaks.
Can dogs come?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to allow dogs on site.
While we love dogs, they are naturally seen as predators by birds of prey, which can cause stress and anxiety for the birds. To ensure their wellbeing, we kindly ask guests not to bring dogs.
Do you offer exclusive use?
Yes – you can book the entire site for exclusive use.
Our three unique units can accommodate up to 8 guests in total, making it perfect for small groups or special occasions.
Exclusive use includes:
- Two private hot tubs
- Three bathrooms
- Three kitchens
- Three private decks
- Exclusive access to the fire pit and picnic area
Do you allow early check-in?
We’ll always do our best to accommodate early check-in where possible.
As we run the site ourselves, flexibility depends on guest departures and turnaround on the day. Just get in touch in advance and we’ll let you know.
How close are you to the Lake District?
We’re located just outside Carlisle, on the edge of the Lake District.
This makes us a perfect base for exploring the area—close enough for day trips, while enjoying a quieter and more secluded setting.
